Our new Family member... Chai

I was not supposed to go by the Humane Society; Carolyn had said he was cute but the mix of Terrier, Schnauzer, and maybe Poodle would be a handful. I loved the Schnauzer I had as a kid; so I went while she was at her appointment, then took her to see him… yesterday I said something about the luckiest thing that’s happened to me; Carolyn said that getting Chai was it.

Thanks Guys! Working in Cal-City was most fun when “We” ( GW, Charley, JB, Dale, Mark ) all worked and brained-stormed are way through the first few houses and their challenges. Working with Kent, my son, what can a proud father say… look at the work he did!

Photo-less Update

I flew home to AR, to see my DAD for what will probably be the last time, on June 27th just before we left for the airport that morning I through up the current photos. I was back in Cal City for 10 days (July 11th – 20th) before leaving for a scheduled Vacation with Carolyn. We went Island hopping up into Canada, it was wonderful, but my cell phone/ Camera did not survive… so I’ll try to describe the project’s progress:
· The combo-inspection was June 23rd
· The insulation inspection to allow Sheet Rock was June 28th
· The Sheet rock, Tape & Texture was complete July 10th
· As I left on July 20th the 600 sq ft of Tile was 90% complete
· When I returned Aug. 14th the painting was done and we were waiting on Cabinets
· Finish grade Aug. 18th
· The Cabinets were installed Aug. 21st
· Measurement for Granite Aug. 23rd
· Drive & Sidewalk poured Aug. 25th
· Carpet installed Aug.26th
· Fence complete Aug. 30th
· Edison stopped by today Aug. 31st, saying that they will get the power turned on next week.
· Granite is scheduled for Sept. 1st ( so we’ll be looking really good this weekend)
· The current schedule for The Gas Company is Sept. 19th
· We’re waiting to see the Granite before choosing Appliances and some of the Fixtures

Kent has also been gone 4 of the last 9 weeks.

Luckily it missed the Bone

With the Nail gun in rapid-fire mode, as long the trigger is pulled it will shoot nails each time the nose of the nail gun is engaged; what happened to me is, I was nailing fireblocks between studs when the recoil of the nail that I fired bounced the nail gun off of the stud behind the gun and into my thumb.

I had Kent pull it out immediately

That is glue, not blood on the tip of the nail.

Major contributing factors:
Nailing a small block.
Awkward position.
Gun in Rapid-Fire Mode
